Description

The Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network (PSAYDN) is a statewide nonprofit that champions high-quality, sustainable out-of-school youth development programs. By advocating for OST funding, building partnerships across schools and communities, and offering capacity-building resources, PSAYDN supports programs that enhance academic achievement, social-emotional skills, STEM learning, and civic engagement for Pennsylvania’s children—especially those from underserved backgrounds. Its initiatives include professional development for staff, access to grants, regional collaboration for entrepreneurial and STEM-focused programming, and statewide advocacy to influence policy and promote resources. By integrating leadership training, hands-on opportunities, and public awareness campaigns, PSAYDN ensures that out-of-school programming contributes meaningfully to youth success and community well-being.
