The Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse, established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, systematically reviews and rates programs designed to prevent foster care placements and support families. In alignment with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), the Clearinghouse evaluates programs in three key areas: mental health, substance use prevention and treatment, and in-home parent skill-based programs.

Programs are rated as Well-Supported, Supported, Promising, or Does Not Currently Meet Criteria, based on the strength of their evidence. As of March 2025, the Clearinghouse had reviewed 193 programs, with 93 rated as Well-Supported, Supported, or Promising.
