Part 3 of 3 - Coordinating Youth-Driven Work in the Community: Sustaining & Advancing Youth Initiatives
This course is Part 3 of a three-part series on engaging youth in prevention planning efforts. In this course, you will gain insights into evaluating and sustaining youth engagement in your initiatives through thoughtful planning and proactive approaches to keeping youth involved. While this course can be taken without the other two, it is designed to build on concepts explored in the first youth engagement course, which is an Introduction to Youth Engagement, and the second, Activating Youth in Prevention Work.
Goals
Learning Objectives:
- Identify methods for evaluating effective youth engagement.
- Understand strategies for sustaining youth involvement in prevention work.
Penn State is a Pennsylvania Department of Education non-credit Act 48 approved provider. Upon successful completion, participants can earn 0.5 hours toward fulfilling their Act 48 requirements by participating in this course and completing all activities. Be sure to complete the evaluation at the end of this course and indicate if you seek Act 48 credits in your learner profile.
