Building a Strong Team: The Five Phases of Recruitment & Hiring is a practical, interactive webinar designed to support organizations in creating fair, effective, and mission-aligned hiring practices. Drawing from research-informed strategies and a structured five-phase framework: Define, Attract, Prepare, Select, and Finalize. Participants will explore how thoughtful recruitment and hiring decisions impact retention, organizational culture, and service delivery. The Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth & Family Services (PCCYFS) Annual Conference offers a range of educational sessions focused on current topics impacting children, youth, and family services. Many sessions provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs), including opportunities for Ethics and Suicide Prevention credits. This virtual advanced problem gambling training, presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs and conducted by the Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania, takes place on April 9, 2026. Participants will explore the theory and practice of Motivational Interviewing/Enhancement Therapy as an evidence-based, client-centered approach to addressing gambling disorder through discussion, case studies, and interactive practice. Led by Gregory A. Krausz, MA, CAADC, LPC, this free training equips professionals with practical strategies to elicit behavior change and strengthen treatment outcomes.
