The National Child Traumatic Stress Network

NCTSN

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) is a U.S. initiative established by Congress in 2000 to enhance the quality of care and improve access to services for children, families, and communities affected by traumatic experiences.  NCTSN offers a wide range of evidence-based treatments, training, webinars, and resources—covering topics from natural disasters and community violence to trauma-informed care practices. Its website serves as a comprehensive hub with practical tools for professionals, families, and educators, including screening guides, intervention fact sheets, and culturally tailored materials. Through its educational offerings, training initiatives, and system-wide partnerships, NCTSN plays a pivotal role in transforming trauma care and strengthening resilience across child-serving systems nationwide.
