The “School Personnel” section of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) offers a robust suite of resources tailored to administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff navigating student trauma in educational settings.  

Recognizing that about 25% of children in the U.S. will experience at least one traumatic event by age 16, NCTSN emphasizes the school environment as a vital support system for identifying and responding to trauma-related behaviors that affect learning. Additionally, NCTSN provides targeted resources for emergencies and transitions, including guidance for schools at the start of the year and support after crises, such as earthquakes or mass violence incidents.
