Adapting Evidence-based Programs: Maintaining Fidelity and Effectiveness

The purpose of this course is to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the considerations for adapting evidence-based programs including cultural adaptations.

Goals

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the concept of adaptation.
  2. Identify core components of evidence-based programs.
  3. Recognize reasons for adaptation.
  4. Distinguish acceptable, cautionary, and unacceptable adaptations.
  5. Plan and implement adaptations.
  6. Monitor adaptations and program implementation.

Penn State is a Pennsylvania Department of Education non-credit Act 48 approved provider. Upon successful completion, participants can earn 1 hour toward fulfilling their Act 48 requirements by participating in this course and completing all activities. Be sure to complete the evaluation at the end of this course and indicate if you seek Act 48 credits in your learner profile.
