Rural Health Information Hub Visualizations: Interactive Data Tools for Rural Health Trends

Explore maps, charts and county-level data to understand rural health, access, and disparities across the U.S.

The “Visualizations” section of the Rural Health Information Hub offers a powerful suite of interactive tools, including the Rural Data Explorer and a national “Chart Gallery” that allow users to view and analyze county- by-county and state-level data on rural demographics, health workforce, access to care, social determinants, and other rural health factors.

Users can zoom in from a national map to individual counties, compare metro vs non-metro counties, examine over 50 indicators, and download raw data (CSV) or map/chart images for reports, policy work, or community planning.

This resource is especially useful for public-health professionals, researchers, community leaders, and policymakers who need evidence-based data visualization to understand and address health disparities, workforce challenges, and access issues in rural America.
