State Health Facts (on kff.org) is a free, publicly available online resource offering more than 800 health indicators for all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the United States overall.  

Users can explore data across many categories, including health status, insurance coverage, Medicaid & CHIP enrollment, health costs, demographics, disparities, women’s health, mental health, providers and service use, and more.  

The site allows mapping, ranking, trending, and downloading data, and includes a “Custom State Reports” tool that helps compile tailored reports for one or more states. This website is useful for policy analysis, research, advocacy, or community health planning.
