FindTreatment.gov - National Treatment Locator for Mental Health & Substance Use

A Federal Tool to Identify Treatment Resources and Support Pathways Across the U.S.

FindTreatment.gov is an official U.S. federal resource maintained by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) that provides a confidential, searchable directory of state-licensed mental health and substance use disorder treatment services in the United States and its territories. Users typically include individuals, families, providers, and the prevention workforce. Users are able to locate facilities and programs based on location, types of treatment offered (e.g., outpatient, residential, detox), payment/insurance options, age focus, and special populations. This tool helps prevention professionals support referrals, plan partnerships, respond to community needs, and link individuals to care as part of broader prevention, early intervention, and continuum-of-care strategies.
