Essentials of Evidence-based Programs: A Primer for Beginners

The purpose of this course is to define what is meant by an Evidence-based Program (EBP) and share the science behind what EBPs all have in common.

Goals

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define and describe the concept of an Evidence-based Program.
  2. Recognize the advantages to implementing Evidence-based Programs.
  3. Identify what all Evidence-based Programs have in common.
  4. Explain where to find more information about Evidence-based Programs.

Penn State is a Pennsylvania Department of Education non-credit Act 48 approved provider. Upon successful completion, participants can earn 1 hour toward fulfilling their Act 48 requirements by participating in this course and completing all activities.
