Statewide Membership Organization Advancing Child Welfare Through Advocacy and Support
The Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Family Services (PCCYFS) is a statewide membership organization representing nearly 100 private agencies that provide direct services to children, youth, and families across Pennsylvania. These agencies offer a broad range of programs, including foster care, adoption, residential treatment, behavioral health services, education, counseling, and independent living supports.
PCCYFS plays a pivotal role in the child welfare field by:
- Advocacy: Serving as a united voice for private providers, advocating for policies and funding that support the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Education & Professional Development: Offering educational opportunities such as the annual conference, free on-demand trainings, and the Leadership Institute, to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in the field.
- Member-Driven Solutions: Facilitating workgroups and committees that address critical issues, develop data-informed solutions, and promote best practices among member agencies.
By providing these services, PCCYFS supports the continuous improvement of Pennsylvania’s child welfare system, ensuring that children and families receive the highest quality care and support.
